water line

what is the best way to paint on the white line or is there tape that you can use.

In a way, you are correct about tape.

You could use a thin piece as the line or you could use two lengths to mask the paint underneath leaving a small gap for white paint.    ok2

I use Model technics Trimlime, comes in lots of different colours as well :). Can be found in most good model shops
one pack gives 2.5 metres of 8 widths
