precedent Perkasa 1:32 brushless setup
« on: August 08, 2012, 09:57:31 pm »

is it worth putting 3 small brush-less motors in the Perkasa or should i just stick with a 700bb or similar? and if I go the 3 motor option where do the 2 rudders go?

I would cover the wash from the two outside propellers.   :}

In line would get the maximum prop wash.  There may be rotation of the centre prop to take into consideration however.  Perhaps the experts could help you here.

My Fairmile D has four props but only two rudders  (not yet fitted) and I shall line these up with outside props.

cheers

on all of my electric models i fit the rudder slightly off centre of the propshaft  , this allows me to withdraw thte shaft without disturbing the rudders  , you only need a couple of millimeters . a little for thought can save lots of down time if you need to service models later !jon

Thats easy, then.  One each side and one in the middle.  Consider triumphjon's idea.
