Austin 7 tourer
« on: August 27, 2012, 08:19:29 am »

After model trawlers my love is classic cars or to be more specific  austin sevens. my first one was a 2 seat tourer which i purchased fully restored, my second was a 4 seat tourer which required quite a lot of cosmetic work and had a cracked block. the beauty of sevens is that they easy to work on,so i got started on a respray and an engine rebuild, having done it all myself i was highly delighted, here are some pictures.....Rod :} :}

Hi Trawlerman , she is a lovely old girl, it brings back a few memories, my first drivinglesson was in one of those    a long time ago.

as Douglas Bader described them.......laquered biscuit boxes on four wheels.............you'd have been better off with a motorbike and sidecar.......at least you could have gone to fancy dress as wallace and grommit.......... {-) {-) {-) {-) {-) {-) {-) {-)

No mate seriously, you did a grand job on the 4 seater..........she was a beauty.....

riding in the 2 seater was akin to going round the TT circuit on a sideczar outfit............scary. %% %% %% %% %% %%
