US Coastguard/Waveney rivet question...
« on: August 21, 2012, 11:37:37 am »

Hi... I noticed on the Waveney class lifeboats the rivets are visible on the cabin and the wheel house but I cant see them on the US Coastguard pictures I have... Are they not pronounced on the US Coastguard version or are my pictures just not showing enough detail?  I just wondered if there was an expert here who knows this.

I think it's because all the USCG boats were white, the rivets don't seem as prominent. But then again, even on the orange waveneys you have to look really closely to see them.

Ah right... I am tempted to put the rivet detailing on but its a lot of rivets and they're pretty small at 1/20th scale!! I was kinda hoping the US Coastguard version somehow didn't need it!!! Lee
