Once again, the hazardous lives of our Fishermen have been brought to our notice by the loss of a Brixham Trawler,Two lives have been saved, but hopes are failing for a third, still missing. She went down just two miles offshore.which goes to show that it is not just deep sea fishermen who risk their lives to bring us our fish. Again it shows the worth of our Lifeboat Service, with two lifeboats being involved in the search for the missing person.Involved in the search, have also been other fishing boats, the Royal Navy as well as a coastguard rescue helicopter, and other vessels.
There has been much use of the word "heroes" in the very recent past, surely Lifeboat Crew, Fishermen, and all rescue services should be included under this accolade, indeed ALL those who put THEIR lives at risk for others?
I am sure you would all join in the hope that there will be a good outcome to this search.
Thanks,
Mick F
