Hi All, I am restoring an old Italeri ELCO 80 PT596 MTB and have fitted some Gruapner speed 300 7.2v motors. Can anybody advise what size and type of props are normally fitted. Thanks, Graham

Hi Graham,
i cannot say the exact diameter you will need as I'm not familiar with the model. It is worth mentioning the the Prop diameter should not exceed the diameter of the motor casing.
This might give you a guide to your request.
Cheers

Hi Ken, Thanks for the advice. It came with some 35mm props that I thought looked a bit on the big side. Cheers Graham.

Best to see how they perform first. I have 35mm props on 500's but as yet, no idea of the performance.

Hi Ken, Well when I fitted the props I found they actually hit each other! So I 'reworked' them into 32mm props, did a quick test in the bath and they seemed to work so we will have to see what happens on the pond at the weekend.
Cheers, Graham.
