Canberra PR7
« on: October 22, 2012, 04:11:01 pm »

I wish to build a model of the Canberra PR7 version in 1/72 scale. Unfortunately there only seems to be the PR9 version available, (Cockpit offset ). Does anyone know where the 7 version maybe available? Or maybe a kit to alter the B version or the 9 to suit. This project is for a friend who is getting models of all the aircraft he worked with during a 30 year Service in PR . I will later need the Sqn colours etc for 17 Sqn during the middle 70s, but that comes much later! Any assistance will be appreciated...

There was a Frog kit of a PR-7 produced between 1955 - 1967. See http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=31802&st=0

I've been told that if you want to model a PR7 the easiest thing is to use a Martin B57 model to start from.  Apparently the fuselage lengths are the same and the cockpit is on the centerline.  You might try looking for Aeroclub aftermarket bits too.
