Hi guys, I have never used etch primer,
is U-POL acid #8 safe for use on plasticard?
as i sometimes have paint adhesion problems
when using this material.

Acid etch is used on METAL not for plastic card,I allways use Halfords PLASTIC primer it is manufactered fro spraying plastic bumpers .

I have used the Upol stuff on plastic RC car wheels and it worked well, but no better or any worse than any other primer.
As others have said probably better to use a primer aimed at plastics "just in case"
