Model Boat to cross Atlantic - news

In the news is an attempt to cross the Atlantic with a model sail boat.

Basically it will be powered by the wind, steered by GPS and rudder, powered by solar cells and batteries.

it would have been nice to know where shes being set sail from , might have been able to see her set sail ? would be a great challenge for any modeller to acheive .

I had wondered abouy this, but reckoned that the solar cells would be covered in salted very quickly. I wonder if she got swept up in the tide - not I suspect the best launching spot.

I thought that the Atlantic was in the opposite direction. Maybe his GPS was upside-down  ok2

having just looked the vesel is stuck on the rocks on the isle of wight , not such a good start , geuss they should have let the tide turn before setting out ?

And to think we supposedly landed on the Moon with less technology than the Snoopy Model.. 8) 8)
