Customer Service (or not)
« on: May 17, 2007, 07:50:04 pm »

This may be a topic which has been covered many times but please forgive a new boy for trying to get some feedback.

Has anyone else had a problem with the contents of a kit not being "what it says on the tin"?
My problem is only a small one one and refers to a set of photographs referred to in the guidelines and on the drawing- problem is, no photographs.

I have contacted the "Customer Service" email a number of time- no response, and this is a VERY well known and respected kit supplier.

Have any other, more experienced mayhemers experienced similar problems?

Give them a ring if they are in this country.

Tomorrow is telephone day. I wanted to get a feel for other experiences.

As for mistakes, yes that is a fair point, but not replying to e mails after inviting them to a customer service point is not a mistake. In my humble opinion that is just bad manners

Re: Poor Customer Service

Most Customer complaints / accusations will be removed from this Forum.
(We can't allow any libellous accusation on the forum.)

1. This forum is not for discussing complaints and sales issues and cannot be used for making unsupported / libellous accusations.

2. The proper way to deal with complaints is to take them up with the person / company you have the complaint with, giving them a
    chance to rectify the matter.

3. Allowing unsubstantiated complaints could make the Forum an accomplice to the accusation.

4. I don't have the time, or funds to fights other people arguments in court.

Happy boating all !

Bit of 'Hobson's choice' this one. I had to remove the good as well as the bad because it still named the company.  :-\

Stop! Stop!

I had no intention of starting a ruckus!

Following our administrators advice I managed to get through to the company today. It transpires that the photographs in the manual are the photographs that used to come in a separate pack.

It was agreed that the photographs would be emailed to me so that I could enlarge them to my satisfaction.

I will not name the company but  the delay was mainly due to a re-arrangement following the passing of the company principal a few months ago. I am sure you will all know the company.
If the photographs come I will be a happy paddler.

Now, take chill pills all round and let the site administrator get on with his job.

It wasn't you Tom. The posting that started it has been removed, thankfully.
