Billing Waveney Class Build
« on: September 16, 2012, 12:09:10 pm »

Hi... I am starting a new thread because I decided to build my 1/20th Billing US Coastguard kit as a Waveney class lifeboat. I based the model on 44-020. I have been trying to put more detail in but I know certain details are not completely accurate... the door hinges are a bit basic, for example! I don't know if I am happy with this yet!

I have adapted the wheel house but I didn't want this model to take years to build so I have not gone into great detail with the door hinges etc. I will put all the dials and controls on though... I am not sure whether to go back and redo the door fittings!

I just thought I would post a few pics of my Billing Waveney progress... I am a very slow modeller... Partly because I keep thinking about other boat projects... anyway, heres proof I am actually building something!

Thanks for the compliments... The paint ended up being that good because I cocked it up a couple of times and had to rub it down and repaint it! lol
