homemade winch
« on: February 14, 2013, 01:09:38 pm »

Hi Shipmates
I am looking for help to make a winch from a electric screwdriver, I have seen one as in the attached photo, I understand how to do the electrics, and would like to copy the layout, but I would like some help on the operating side of the sails, I have used a circular system before incorporating a spring in line to hold the tension, are there any other ways of operating the sails with this type of winch, even if the person who made the layout in the photo could explain how he did it
regards Geoff
