Liverpool Model Boat Club has been around since the mid 1960's, though its origins go back to the 1950's, and in the mid 60's the club was sailing in Newsham park, when the club formerly formed in the 60's Walton Hall Park became available which included the use of a Boat House. Sadly in the late 90's onwards the Boat house suffered from vandalism, and finally last Easter the Boat House was badly damaged, this was the end as the Council would not repair or offer any assistance to the Club.
The membership decided to call it a day at Walton Hall Park, and a move back to where it all started, Newsham Park.
This year we will be holding open days, and all the Local Boat Clubs are invited.
We will be at the Ellesmere Model Boat show, and if you fancy attending any of the open days please come and chat. The committee will be there on both days.
