Waveney
« on: March 01, 2013, 02:00:56 pm »

Hi folk - I think I have made a mess of my enquiry about a Waveney that I have acquired - Martin kindly removed the post as I think it was unreadable due to the picture I tried to send -  Can anyone help with the indentification of a Waveney Lifeboat about 29 inches in length - whose model might it be - It is a fibreglass Hull - any help would be appreciated

I think it's a 1:15 ish scale hull, currently produced by Models by Design. We've got one, and the set of plans that came with it. (From when the hull was produced by Kingston Mouldings) I believe they were for 44-011 Augustine Courtauld, the Poole Lifeboat.

hi thanks for your replies - the overall length at 29 inches could well make it 1.20th scale - it definitely has a grp hull and not abs and the factor which i forgot to mention is that on the stand which came with it has the legend us coastguardbut the vessel is painted rnli colours and mick has confirmed the identity foe me  regards stuart
