My first model
« on: March 02, 2013, 09:42:34 pm »

I just thought I would share some photos of my first model, she's 20 years young this year and still looking pretty good.

Its a 10th scale scratch built  Mersey Class. I built her when I was a serving crew member on Scarborough's Lifeboats.

I named her after my grandparents

Welcome to Mayhem Stoney, the pictures say it all. She deserves 'pride of place' on any sideboard. A fine tribute to the RNLI and your service. :-))

Lovely model, well done! I used to go see the Scarborough lifeboat often as we had a caravan at Wykeham, always put a few pennies in the slot.

My models are not nice, clean and ship-shape. They be mucky, grubby, rusty and smelly.
