I have a Bijou shed .... summer only. Otherwise it's the living room - I get away with murder really as long as I keep it reasonably tidy.

Trying to figure out if she would notice a lathe? If I brought it in on her darts night ..... maybe not  :D

I build, at the dining room table, outside and on the floor in front of the telly-I normally do my detailing on the floor-have got foliage flock, metal filings and the odd spot of paint on the rug... :embarrassed: I do get into trouble...don't know why?  %)

Funny you should mention that. When fitting a double garage into the garden, in order to clear the base area, my garden shed had to go, sooooo the lathe had to come indoors for a while. It was cleaned and took pride of place in the living room, got a few strange looks from visitors but to tidy up for Chrissy, SWTSMBO covered it with a light sheet. Due to its shape, Austrian Lathe with vertical milling attachment, the pokey up bit got a Father Christmas hat stuck on it.

NO, I didn't have it wired up. (Thought about it though)  :D

And then the time when a visitor did a double take in the kitchen once, re-built me Guzzi there, but that was long before the Garage. O0 Mercury outboard engine rebuild used the chest freezer as a workbench. %)

We have 3 bedrooms upstairs, one is now a completely converted boat building dock, about 10ft x 10 ft., trouble is I now have too much stuff, it looks like a tool & hobby store....I do have a large shop out of the city where I keep my lathe & mill & all my automotive tools ( lots of them ) but it is 12KM to that shop, so I only go there during the day or in sheer desperation when I really need the tool or whatever...Mick B....

Just exactly as I expected, the cupboards would not look out of place even in someones posh kitchen. You can see the owner suffers from a very organised mind. It looks just like we all should have as a playroom. I hope you live a long long time to enjoy it Dave & that there will be many many launches from that site. When you have so much time now, can we expect new and genius inventions to appear from time to time, may be even (I wish) a Brushless ESC or something equally magic that works as well as your P94 & all the other units that we have been so blessed to have access to over the years, good luck my friend, and being that it is Saint Patrick's day Sunday, an Irish saying from Phyllis & me,"May the road rise to meet you, may the wind always be at your back and you are a 1/2 an hour in Heaven before the Devil knows you are dead", The Heaven bit might be a bit of a stretch for you & I. You certainly have all the toys & it looks well organised Hammer.. It sure makes things a lot easier to do when you have the space & the tools to do things without having to put stuff away each time you finish a session. I am amazed by the members that work on the kitchen table & the boats they can build there, I would go crazy. Thanks for sharing with us, Mick B...

%% Hi,Hammer,I have the same amount of kit in my workshop but about a third of the space, which means I have to try and be very tidy which
I am afraid I am not. My wife would not let me try to do any modelling in the house, she would be hovering over me with the hoover and duster,
safer in the workshop I can be as untidy as I like. >>:-( >>:-(
