WLAN-radio
« on: February 17, 2013, 06:37:50 pm »

Hi folks,
as I'm not the youngest one, 60 years old, somebody of you can remember the radiostation out in the northsea called radio carolina. My new radio can do the Wlan and I found a station which has music out of that age. I find another too called oldies paradise which is very good acc.to my opp. .
But now ...  back in 69 there came up the group SLADE  which was unknown in Germany. The music was great (  get down and get with it ), to that time, and we heard it first when we were in London to buy records we can't get in Germany.
Now my question to the musicfans out here:  is there a radio stadion  you can tell me which sends music of new bands which will be unknown and which I can receive via Wlan ????  I think BBC London will be not the one, or ???
Many thanks in advance   Sven

Ohhh. Radio Caroline!
I had an "I want my Caroline" sticker on my bike (pedal bike - I was a teen then) - part of the protests to stop the UK gov shutting them down.

But I can't answer your question Sven, sorry. But I'd think a bit of judicious web searching would discover what you want.

(I can even remember the jingle now - Caroline, Caroliii-i-i-ine.)

Have you tried Napstar there is just about everything but the Beatles.New albums .Radio. Its free for a short time then you have to Pay .I have the computer wired in to the HiFi for a better sound . The only fault is if you have a slow broadband speed it tends to buffer.
