I get exactly the same problem if I do a hard return sometimes.
I am using Win7 and GoogleChrome.

My New computer came with windows 7 so I've put Mozilla's Firefox on top for the internet as I've grown to love it.  What a learning curve I'm on.  That's why I queried the extra marks.  They seem to be a re-sizing instructions, as if the original was somehow larger. ??  very mysterious.

Do you see them when you review your letter before posting please ?  If so,  then maybe you can delete them at that time.  If we do it our end it will show as a correction and spoil your Blog.
