Cheshire Police to buy the decommissioned Bremen 9?
« on: March 26, 2013, 10:07:38 pm »

Prompted by the MFA Tracker thread are there any variations on the Bremen 9 out there?
What if Cheshire Police bought the decommissioned Bremen 9 for use in the Mersey, Runcorn docks and the Manchester ship canal? Well if they did, this is my idea as to what it would look like.

Here's some more details ...
The battenburg and chevron decals were bought off ebay. They are used on 1/18 scale R/C cars.
The 'POLICE' and BA 07 vinyl letters also from ebay..
The other assorted decals including the Cheshire Police crest I produced my self.
The figures are 1/18 scale 'World Peacekeeper' figures from ebay. I painted them to suit the model.
It has a working Police light bar and two blue flashing LED's.
Running gear/motors are the standard Bremen 9 fitment. Runs on a 12v SLA battery and planes!
Hope it's of interest to you all...

Hi CPM1,
Did you make the light bar? If not can you tell me where you bought it please as I am building a 1/16 Police boat.

Hi Dave,
I bought the light bar from ebay. Tried making one but failed! I believe it was originally for a 1/16th Tamiya vehicle but it suits the boat just fine. There are some very sophisticated 1/18 light bars available from the States but I did not want to pay the £60+. I payed £20 inc p&p.
The light bar and all the other LED lights are temporarily powered by a couple of small 9v batteries. At some point I'll have to wire it all up properly.

She'll be patrolling the Crewe Model Boat club waters first, then the occasional back up call to Runcorn and New Brighton :-)
Are there any other Bremen 9 conversions out there?
