Couldn't find the actual one, but a 200A version that features water cooling says in the spec under programming -
Brake: No Brake/Soft/Medium/Hard
Direction: Clockwise/Counter Clockwise
- which, considering the name, I would guess that this was originally intended for flight, but the marine version has water cooling. The spec that I found only mention "peak" power and "burst", but not continuous. I would question the numbers, as well.
The bit about "direction" being "clockwise/counter clockwise" could mean that it can be programmed to turn the motor either way until the next time it gets programmed, or it might mean that there is a programming option to give it a proper reverse. I can't decide whether the spec writer was being sloppy and trying to impress someone, or whether there was low cunning involved with the intention of telling the truth, but giving the wrong impression for profit. My inclination, where the spec is written in pseudo-technical marketese is to move on to a different product.
However, that kind of power (assuming it can actually deliver) suggests use in a fast boat that doesn't have a lot of use for going backwards.
