Bow thruster
« on: April 26, 2013, 06:06:01 pm »

Hi,
I have just started a dutch courage and I intend to fit a bow thruster in her. I have a 30/33X148mm Raboesch but unfortunatly it is too short. Can you buy extention tubes to enlarge the unit otherwise it is back to the drawing board.
Thanks

Might it be possible to buy some tubing that fits either over or into the raboesch tubes and epoxy it in place to lengthen the tubes?

That's the way I'd go.

I,m sure you can buy extensions for the pipes from Raboesch...
What diameter are the pipes ?...

I have in the past used plastic plumbing pipe on a Graupner unit...I sleeved 15mm pipe over the original pipes...

not cheap for bits of plastic pipe, I think you would take the advice of Wayne and Norry.

For less than £9 I'd go with the Raboesch extension tubes  :-))
