Hello,
I am building the Modelslipways Loyal Class Fleet Tender and I'm trying to secure a copy of Model Boating Magazine Vol #47 Issue that has a complete build log of the Loyal Class Fleet Tender.  There is one on Ebay UK however I can't complete the transaction becuase the seller isn't offering mailing to the USA.  Of course, I am willing to pay for the service.
Does anyone out there have a copy they would sell me?  It will be a fine addition to the model once completed.
I will be posting a complete build log soon.  My first impression is that Model Slipways kits are excellent in detail, material and instructions.
Thanks very much.

Sorry I can't help you, but I am sure someone on here can. You are correct in every respect, Model Slipway is a first class company to do business with in every way. Mick B.

Hi,
Later today i'm going to my club's lake. Both the editor of Model Boats Paul and Ivor who wrote the review are members. If they also turn up on this lovely day, I will ask them if they can help you.
Cheers
P.S. Ivor had the boat on the water last week, it looks great on the water.

Dave,
Thanks so much for the reply, I really appreciate your effort.  I have been building scale model boats for over 50 years and this is the first kit I have had the pleasure of having in my collection from a UK manufacturer.  I promise to all of my fellow modelers across the great pond that I will do it justice and will post a detailed build log.
Of course, no matter how much experience someone has we always learn from others who have built a particular model, then in the end we make our own decisions and modifications.  There are so many good build logs that I have been reviewing on your forums, I hope to add one more.
Thanks,
Ed

Hi Ed,
Pauls' response, which is good for everyone. Go onto Model Boats mags web site. Look in i think he said "My Hobby Store". Back issues and they post world wide. If they do not have the back issue instock, for a small charge they will photo copy the article you want and again post to you in USA.
Ivor had the model on the water and was taking photos of the model. I will PM you with Ivors' email address. Contact him and he will email you the photos.
Cheers

Hi Ed
Sorry to hear that you were blocked, however I think that Unfortunately that this is more the case with a lot of items as items seem to take a lot longer to get to the States and Canada than Usual and as such " Items Not Received " cases are very often opened after only a few days, and where post is nearly as expensive as the item for sale is just not worth the risk.
I once posted some stuff to Canada and it took over 28 days by air mail !!, luckily the buyer was patient, and there was no obvious reason for the delay..
I find that in  some cases where buyers settings do state UK only a quick email to the buyer can resolve this  :-))    as would have done here.
Strange thing is, I have been contacted by someone to buy the same magazine you tried to purchase.

Also just in case you were not aware you do realise that the Article was over 3 magazines ?,  March, April and May..
Regards
Larry

I managed to point Ed in the direction of a copy of the May issue (via PM), so assuming that he gets that okay, he's just looking for the first couple.

However, I only managed to find the May issue, thanks to Larry (TheLongBuild) mentioning the feature was spread across 3 issues.  :-))
