« on: May 05, 2013, 03:02:16 pm »

As i stated in an earlier post, i am very new to model making, and could be doing with a little help. Is airbrushing the best way to paint models and if so which airbrush kit is the beat for around £60. I'm sorry for being a pain, but will take all the advice i can get....Thanks

Thay have come down alot from when I bought my pair "Badger 155 and a badger 175",
the 175 comes with three different needles so as a good all rounder it takes some beating .

the 155 anthem is more for detailing and shading etc.

junglelands.............can I just say, depending on what you are building, do you need an airbrush.

I bought a full badger set, similar to Mr Turbo, nearly 20 years ago, complete with compressor............I have used it twice in all those years.

I find for what I build, I can get just as good a quality on my models, using Halfords spray cans.

I know I will be slaughtered by the die hard perfectionists and those who go into weathering their models in a big way.................but I don't do that, don't go there and don't have a T shirt, and spray cans work for me, and I have a much greater variety of colours without half empty cans sat on the shelf, and messy cleaning of airguns after a day of spraying...............

I know it's not a great advert when you want to........but anyone want to buy  an airbrush set up.....just pm me, {-) {-) {-) {-) {-) {-) {-)

Neil ,
I must admit I only use mine for 35th scale armour and 24th scale truck stuff. Halfrauds rattle cans are great for shiny shiny paint finishes , the only restrictions with it are standard "car" colours , if you get what I mean .
