Mountfleet Sealight - after Build Info
« on: June 10, 2013, 11:29:31 pm »

I bought a Mountfleet Sealight kit at the CADMA show in Doncaster yesterday (Sunday).

A quick scout through the mayhem forum reveals odd comments but not the hoped-for build log,
most of the posts being from a few years ago. The expert on the Sealight seemed to be chingdevil
but I notice that he is no longer listed on the membership list - is he still around?

When I opened the box I found a Highlander Drawing ! - can somebody who has built this kit confirm
that there should be a 'proper' Sealight drawing  (I have emailed Mountfleet via their website).

The instruction manual seems rather to be light on construction info and there also seems to be some
omissions from the materials list.

Does any body have any (electronic) copies of the two published build articles - one (two-parter) was
by Dave Brumstead (I think) and the second was in a recentish model boats mag - I had a copy until I
gave away a load of mags recently!.

If anybody does have copies of the articles or more info on building a Sealight I would appreciate it.

Do you or anyone else know what issue of model boats it was?  Would save time digging through my stash of porn model boat magazines

I have a copy of the Dave Brumstead article, if you want a copy send me a PM Richald. I also might have a better Sealight drawing need to have a dig around for that. If you want any pictures let me know

mikearace -

Yeah, that was the build article I had already found - perhaps I didn't make that clear!
the thing is, it is only the first part of a two parter and I couldn't find the second part!
