Sinking of the Lady "T" MMM Tug
« on: June 22, 2013, 08:38:55 pm »

 {:-{ Hello,
Today I took my tug for a sail on my club pond in Goole.
Very windy but usually no problems with a tug this heavy.
Whist is was out in the centre and turning to starboard she capsized to port, bow slowly vanishing untill she upended. Last view was here stern. Howver she must have righted herself on the bottom(2ft) as the top of the mainmast identified her position.
One of our members put on the waders and reteived her surprisinly with motors still running, sopping only when switched of by rescuers.
Unfortunately no camers were in action as the sinking look natural as if sh had been torpedoed in the Atlantic.
I was informed that as she was fitted with Action eletronics she should be fine afer drying our. We shall wait and see!
The joys of sailing ah well.It created a laugh which is a good thing.
Regards,
Ceres
