1/72 SCALE CRASHED JUNKERS 88-ENTITLED 'FOUND'.
« on: July 25, 2013, 01:14:26 pm »

As well as RC boats and my sunken wreck models I also dabble in aircraft etc.

Here is a crashed, damaged Junkers 88 that has been stripped and then left until found 70 years later. Made wing spars internals etc and then bent the rear fuselage slightly. Painted, decals added and then various dry brushes of various metallic paints to give that weathered look.

Ta Neil, glad you like it. It seemed to take forever as the paint scheme was applied and then distressed...just like I was at the end lol.

Yep, there is a 1/72 which maybe a tad too big for a dio as I don't have anymore space. Would be a good topic to do...another sunken one  O0

{-)  Yep, very late. The idea behind the dio is that it ran out of fuel, of course it has got a few bullet holes in it too (check the tail section), crashed, ripped the wing off and then was gutted and the debris carted off via villagers, all that was left was the carcass...to be left and weathered until a man in a hi-viz and a hard-hat happened to turn up.

Now, if you make the dio represented eight days after the crash there was nothing more.
The scrap was stolen for sale ................

congratulations for this work

the dio is a very difficult discipline

I love the dioramas.
I carefully guard a diorama that have given me, in WEYMOUTH, an English lady modeller.
This is a subject dear to my heart because it was given a gift like that, for the beauty of the gesture.

I dare not put the picture here because it is about you.

What a lovely gesture to give a diorama. Feel free to add your picture, I don't mind at all. We are modellers with various talents and we enjoy looking at others work.  :-))
