Heng Long M41A3 - parts query
« on: July 27, 2013, 06:43:02 pm »

Hi All - Just back from my local model show and I picked up a heng long M41A3 for a good price (I think!) Anyway it is missing the aerial for the transmitter and tank as well as the battery for the tank - can anyone suggest somewhere to get spare aerials please and advise what battery I need for the tank.

Many thanks

Was that the H'West show?
Must get to a show down there
being Neyland born and now living
in Grimsby.
Hope we see some photos from the show.

Standard battery fitted to the HL tanks is a 1700mah tamiya racing pack. This gives about 10mins run time with smoke and sound.  The boys have 3700s in theirs which gives a little over 20mins.

Be careful they are addictive.... Its easy to spend 100s on upgrades and details

Thanks E2V, I am in enough trouble for buying the tank (oh and two University Club yachts) so I will hold back for now anyway, some nice add-ons though!

Hi, I have two 7.2v  2500mAh packs with Tamiya plugs which I dont use. These would fit a 1:16 Heng Long tank. PM me if interested.  :-)

http://www.welshdragonmodels.co.uk/taigen-24-ghz-digital-controltransmitter-package-1778-p.asp

This unit looks like a good upgrade. I have fitted twin speed controls, mixer, sound unit etc to a T34 tank in the past,  over £100 spent for a model I rarely used. This Taigen unit replaces all the electronics of the original tank and only costs £69.99. Next tank is having one of these fitted :-))

gobulawayo, you can't use the planet with the heng long rx-18 you need one of the aftermarket boards like a clarke board or a make, there are others, i'll try to get a couple of links up
