Bridlington Open Weekend
« on: February 06, 2013, 11:37:37 am »

Hi Folks.

Bridlington Model Boat Society will be celebrating 25 years sailing at their lake this year and will be holding an open weekend on Saturday/Sunday 17/18th August 2013. Of course everyone is invited and there is free parking and free camping for the weekend. If there are any model shops who want to come along with their stalls it's free......yes FREE! Just get in touch with me on [email protected]
Cheers,
Ian Phillips

Is there any free sailing?
Got permission for a trip across
the bridge on Sat.
Will have to bring 10 year old Grand lad.
Room for a Victoria and Springer and Dickie Tug.
All 2.4 giggles.

hello,
I think it will all be free sailing.
There is a Harbour complex on the lake - - which is quite big !.
The lake itself is large too.

Loads of free sailing, the odd one or two demos but we still have a fairly large scale harbour area anyway. Everybody welcome! Look forward to seeing you all there. Deans Marine will be there too.
Cheers,
Ian.

Lancaster Road, Carnaby, Bridlington, YO15 3QY  Lat 54.06 Long -0.25

Have a look on Google maps for final position. It's not really apparent unless signposted, which it hopefully will be for this weekend.

Lovely pond - nice club, wish I could be there.

Hello,
The Event was a great success!, very friendly, happy, and welcoming.
Club Members were helping anyone who needed a hand setting up, or carrying things.
Lots of boats were stored overnight in one of the Cabins, saved setting things up again the following day!.
The Lake and surrounding area - - - I wish was nearer my home!!, very nice.
A really good weekend.
