Yep...another fishermen dio. Larger scale though.
« on: August 29, 2013, 08:46:00 pm »

This my latest fisherman dio. Bit bigger than the others, all hand made apart from the fisherman-resin model, came pre-painted but had to be highlighted and a few details added. This around 80% finished as there is a couple of more washes and details to add plus varnish the base.

To partially echo a film classic, "You're going to need a bigger base "

Working to an overhang makes it difficult for anyone who wants to put a dustcover over it.

LOL, yeah...I see what your getting at Ian. You know something, I have decided to sell these at my caravan or local boat club, as is, that is it. If they don't sell then I am keeping them as these larger scale ones I really like.

Being land locked in west yorkshire, pity you don't nip over to the east riding of yorkshire i.e. hull and sell them to the tourists at the beach or even Scarborough's sovenier shops  :-)) will be far better than those tacky 'quaint cottages' they sell in porclain, lol

LOL, far better than the wee cottages. My caravan is on the East coast, so may well see if there is any interest on the site...or I may just keep em as they're turning out rather good and unique :)

Well done Eddie, it has a nice ambiance about it, I think it would be better yet if it had a bigger base & more fish & a few lobsters & crabs thrown in, Mick B.

I have some more fish boxes but as you say the base is too small, in fact these dios are on 7''x5'' bases so are big, the figures are roughly 1/10 scale so any bigger means that room is at a premium. Glad you like it Mick.
