Colwyn Bay M.B.C. - Mayor's Cup regatta - 2014
« on: November 18, 2013, 07:08:07 am »

The Mayor's Cup Regatta will be held on Sunday, 13st July, 2014, at our model boating lake behind the Colwyn Bay Civic Offices, LL29 8AR.

The date has been moved forward a week to avoid the Cosford Show and the AccessAllEirias pop concert on 20th.

As always it is FREE admittance, FREE parking to everyone and no charges at all for trade stands.

There is every prospect we will have both of our lakes available for sailing by July.

Clubs and traders who have been before will receive invites in the near future, but new clubs and traders wishing to book display space should send me a P.M. as additional space is limited.

Detailed planning will start in the new year and we will keep visitors updated as matters are finalised, in the mean time please note the date in your diary.

Yes, come down the slip road, turn left up the road to the miniature roundabout turn right then a few hundred yards turn right to police headquarters.

Hello Ron, not yet, i missed the E.port meeting on Tuesday,i believe Steve had it (them?) with him. If Steve had to pay I'll reimburse him when i see him next. Thanks for all the trouble you went to to supply them to me, it was very much appreciated. Martin

No charge Martin. Its our pleasure.
One of the guys from East Kilbride MBC had a spare badge and sent that to you as well for your collection.
How many have you got. An interesting subject collecting MBC metal badges.

Thanks David......the response from the Colwyn Bay Council is typical gollygoop   >>:-(

...and secondly my observations on such a matter....'would such a building complex not be heritage listed?'.................Derek

parties yet?,or has the building already been sold?

Also will there be any planning restrictions in the clause of sale? ie
future use? Brownfield site? Demolition? Hotel? Office's?"

Response: "I can confirm that the Civic Offices, Colwyn Bay have not been
sold, and there is no mandate to dispose of the interest.  This is one of
the sites that is being considered under the Office Accommodation Strategy
and a report will be tabled before democracy in due course.  It is not
appropriate for the Authority to disclose if there has been interest or
not, for commercial reasons.  If the site is to be disposed of (be it
freehold or leasehold), the Authority will work with the Planners and
Regeneration colleagues in order to progress a development brief".
