I have been faffing in doing rusting techniques using pigments and decided to use it on a Universal Carrier. The model has been battle damaged, stripped of some equipment and then left. The model is portraying the vehicle after a few years.

Faffing, faffing - thats not faffing - thats brilliant - a true Genius - missed this, if the photo had a blurred background, you would not have been able to tell if it was real or not - well done.  O0

You know, that is a funny you mentioning that. One of the pictures I found and used for inspiration was a UC in the outback, a right rust bucket indeed.

I actually did a search of rusted outback carrier images, as after the war, they were disposed of to farmers/graziers who eventually left them to rust away.

As someone has mentioned, apply some background and you wouldn't know the difference, well done.  :-)) :-))

In fact if you went one step further and used another landscape picture behind you scene, either on a mounted card or photo shop it, it would look real.
