Lesro Atlantic 21
« on: January 08, 2014, 08:59:30 pm »

Anybody built one of these?

I hoping to either find a ready built model or a kit.

Should it be a kit or part build, I'd like to know if its a difficult build or something a relative beginner could tackle.

Given the limited availability of these, is there a alternative that I should consider?

Well thanks to LankyAndy, (Andrew) I'm now the proud owner of a Lesro Atlantic  21, which is in kit form.

Now my dilemma, do I give building it a shot or should I preserve such a model in its box, safe from the hands of the well intentioned novice?  Something I'll ponder on for several weeks no doubt.

For now I'm enjoying the ownership of both the Atlantic and the superb Severn!  Now developing ideas as to how I use it to benefit the RNLI

Thanks Andrew

I have taken the pictures by myself of the RNLI - B Serie - Atlantic 21 - B-531 - "Waveney Forester" roughly about 1985 in Gorleston / Great Yarmouth.
At this time I have been a sailor and I have been visiting the RNLI Station.

Best regards from Germany :-)

Have to say a big thank you to Bat for a great article on this forum, may be its because I'm a novice, but the instructions are just too difficult to make sense of, however, Bat clarifies a lot of points for me so thanks for the help!

The build is going ok, I'll embarrass myself with pics at some point, today I just spent a couple of hours cutting out a few bits and pieces.  The build had already begun so bit of a head start in some respects.

I can't understand why nobody amongst the manufacturers of kits don't build an E or B Class kit.  They are great fun and look the business.
