Just a reminder that Brighton Modelworld takes place from Friday 21st February to Sunday 23rd February at the Brighton Centre.

I always find this a great show as it covers so many different types of modelling as well as having a strong marine section plus this year's show has a special celebration of the RNLI.

Easy to find too, just head South and if you've got your feet wet then you've gone too far!

You want to try parking there you need a bank loan and try to find some where I went last a complete nightmare to expensive.

I agree that Brighton is not a car friendly city - look out for the cameras too! I usually park in the Churchill Square car park next to the show which seems to be charging £4 for 3 hours and £6 for 4 hours.  It is in the middle of the city and others are more expensive. If you have more than one person in the car then the cost pp isn't too bad.

Alternatively the park & ride costs £4.60 but this is per person for the bus and seems to have mixed reviews. Another option is to park outside the centre and get a bus or train in.

I look at the overall cost including admission, parking and getting there. I love the Warwick show, parking is free but it costs me nearly £40 in fuel to get there and back.

I have booked in with a model of the QE2 Cunard Liner (instead of my usual Lifeboats) This model has not been seen for 15 years,and has never been seen outside of Cornwall.
She is a real head turner.

I will be there on Friday covering the event for Model Boats magazine.

In previous years I have always found it to be a very enjoyable show as it covers lots of different types of modelling. Definitely worth visiting in my view.

come to expose it is best to come up with a puffer 1/72, a supply of 1/50 does not fit into the bus.

I went 6 times WARWICK,
minimum cost 500 euros (gasoline, highway, ferry, accommodation)
not to mention the temptation on site.

Hi all, I shall be going on Sunday using the train on a supersaver £10.55 return  from St Albans to Brighton and then the bus pass!
Not many advantages to being a Senior Citizen but I also have a Railcard and so traveling off peak is at least affordable.
I have not been for a couple of years so looking forward to the day out.

  I am going by train from Wandsworth Common £12.30 senior citizen ticket,which means I don't drive fed up with driving, it would have cost me more in diesel and parking,also means I will be able to have a nice pub lunch and a relaxing day,happy boating,Ray.

Just travelled up from Cornwall with my 2 Cunard Liners,forgot half the items I was going to display,but the models are the main thing!
Its a hive of activity with everyone setting up,but looking good already.
