First one to crash in a populated area will create legislation O0  FPVs and guidance systems are too close to personal cruise missiles.

Six circular saw blades, even with shrouds I'll bet it would have still hurt. Oh how the few screw it for the many.

I wonder if he'll get prosecuted or sued?
Flying anything over people has been banned here in GB for a long time.

Hi Derek,
CASA would have something to say, any operations that generate income need exorbitant "training/fees" big debate.

Here in Germany all Drones of any sort are banned ( Despite the fact that the Luftwaffe have bought 4 of them and now can't use them at all!) Heavy fines are threatened to anyone who does. But, camera carrying Helis are sold as toys, and complete PFV models from most of the large suppliers, Silly ain't it!!??

Why over the top Tony

Nordsee, we fly remote control aircraft for pleasure, not drones, drone implies semi autonomous or autonomous vehicle, these they are not ok2

Drone is not the word we should be using for our craft.

The objects are identical. Remote controlled camera aircraft or Helicopters, Same Thing, different Name.

Seems that a radio controlled flying contraption becomes
a drone when a camera is fitted.
The ones flying over 'Stan at the moment and controlled
by RAF pilots in Lincolnshire can hardly be 'model aircraft'
If our Lords and Masters in Whitehall call them drones
then drones they will be. <*< <*<

I bought a quadcopter, a UDi (the larger version) and it turned up today...couldn't resist having a quck flight found the front room. By heck, but these things are certainly lively, even in Mode 1, it knocks spots off of my Chinook.

Mine is the non camera version, I figured that crashing the non camera one will be cheaper than crashing the one with the camera. I've got an 808 camera, should I want to take in flight videos.

Once I've got the hang of flying it, next stop is the DJ Phantom...£300+ though. Ouch...

Stranded Quadcopter rescue from the top of Hadleigh castle ruins.
Video is a bit long winded  , you may want to skip a bit ( or a lot ) but a good persistent tricopter pilot using fpv.  :-))
