Welcome George, I found joining the Association of model Barge owners well worth while when completing my part built Thames Barge. They have excellent booklets on all topics including sail making. I did make my sails with the invaluable assistants of my wife. She taught me the basics of how to use patterns for cutting out and how to use the sewing machine. She did, however, all the fiddly bits in the corners as my podgy fingers were 'untrainable'. Cheers Graham. :-)) Some pictures will follow if I can find them.

Ok George, I found the pictures and have resized them. The first is what I started with. And yes its that cat again. The second is of her finished. I must say although I learnt a lot, including how patient my wife is, I do not want to make another set of sails. Cheers Graham.
