IPMS Telford
« on: November 10, 2014, 08:08:37 pm »

Little of interest at this this show for the majority on here - but that's your loss. However, two which might find some interest was the release of the new Italeri Vosper MTB 74 kit, due in the UK on Wednesday. The other was a 1/72 Fletcher class destroyer almost ready to run.

Hi Imsinking  the Fletcher in the pictures is painted in measure 22 . The colours will be has follows under water Anti fouling red, side of hull and all vertical surfaces Haze Grey, decks Deck Blue. The large band running from the bow to cover most of the hull side is in fact Navy Blue. A small boot topping would have been painted to separate the hull colours. White Ensign models carry a full range of U S navy WW2 colours. Hope this helps.

Some pics from Telford.
I make no apology for the fact they are exclusively Coastal Forces and Landing Craft,  my area of interest. Stan may well have a better selection as he's more rounded than I am  ok2

One more of the Missouri. This cut away U Boat caught my eye the use of L E D certainly changes the plastic model to something else. More to follow this weekend

I've been saying (and writing) that for the last ten years or so - but no one has taken much notice until recently. This year there was in excess of 800 models in the competition alone, which was a bit down on the 1300 plus of last year.

I went last year and it was very good. Huge show and some very creative work.
I expect to go again sometime  :-)
