Proboat Jet Drive Assembly Sequence?
« on: April 05, 2014, 05:11:08 pm »

I've acquired a pair of Proboat PRB3656 jet drives.  They were originally designed to power a duck. I kid you not.

Anyway, I'm putting them in to my Traplet Pilot Boat (because I can, of course) but have hit a snag.  Although they sell them as a stand alone item, they don't include any assembly instructions.

Now, although the main components are self explanatory, there are a few washers and spacers which must go in somewhere.....but where?  I've emailed their customer support but all they do is point me at the sales info for the duck.

Can anybody on here tell me what order they should go together please?  I've figured out that the large red seal goes inside the jet itself but the smaller items are the problem.  Here's a picture:

Yes, I know they're not the best item in the world but they're cheap and I'm playing......so humour me.

Hmm.  {:-{

There are fewer parts in that exploded view than I have in my kit  %%   That 'o' ring looks like it's lurking somewhere significant.

Thanks Derek.........I think.  %)

Yes rm...all appears accounted for except the two different sized white nylon? washers........

Rather than deal with the distributor [who's staff may not know the answer] why not pen an e-mail to the manufacture & ask them where that RED o-ring should be located......Derek

O-ring has got to be a seal between the shaft and the main body to stop water getting back towards the motor.
