Any ideas what this boat is?
« on: April 15, 2014, 01:29:18 pm »

Hi there, I've just got this boat but am not sure what make and model it is. It has been resprayed blue from red and a shg marine sticker stuck on the bow. If you know any info about it I'd very much appreciate it.
Thanks
James

That looks suspiciously like an original MRH (Model Racing Hulls) Silak to me. MRH were an Eastbourne based manufacturer of multi race hulls way back, ran by a chap called Graham Pollard...along with the Silak (designed by World Champion Georgio Merlotti and made under licence by MRH), Graham also produced the Kali, Isotope, Mini Silak, and a couple of others who's name escapes me for the moment.

They were superb hulls until Graham sold the business to another Eastbourne based company run by a guy called Tony something...they were never as good then, more's the pity.

Here endeth the lesson... ;D

Can't help you there, I'm afraid...have a look round on the race boat section on the forum, someone there will know.

As well as above, I would still contact SHG Marine, as I mentioned earlier they also did Hulls for IC engines, The fact it has the SHG sticker on the Hull suggests this might be the case.

as far as spare parts go there wont be Any as all the fittings will be custom fit by the person that built the boat all you usually get is the fg hull and you fit it with your own equipment ie engine mounds rudder water pickup ext  :-))

have a good look throw the posts in this section there's quite a few ic bulds that will give a good grounding as to haw things are set out
