Bury Metro Marine Modelling Society's Tug day and Bring & Buy is being held on 22nd June 2014, from 10am onwards for members and visitors who would like to sail/exhibit their tugs and sale anything connected with marine modelling.

Bury Metro Marine Modelling Society is a friendly and active club with over 140 members. The club water has ample free car parking, excellent disabled access to the water and clubhouse where refreshment facilities are available. Although members can sail 7 days a week, the club house is open on Sundays and Wednesdays from 9am till 1.30pm.

The club is located at The Lido, Clarence Park, Bury, Lancs, BL9 6NG.

Thank you to all those who attended our event, the first time for a couple of years where we have had good weather.    I would like especially to thank Scale Hobbies from Skelmersdale and of course to those visiting the club for the first time for their support.

1st prize for the best Tug wet to Bryn Clewes for his scratch built, including steam engine and boiler, MSC. ARCHER, a worthy winner.
2nd prize went to Paul Smith for his EMPIRE PAUL a wartime tug.

3rd prize went to Reg Crompton for his American Harbour Tug.

A good day was had by all
