...considering the purchase of this system from Howes. Any comments as to pros/cons.

Many of us prefer the Planet  system. It has the extra 5th switched channel and is the same price.

Howes have an offer on the RadioLink set at the moment - thirty quid. I'm personally not tempted; I've seen inside one  :o .

You'll get what you pay for, big fella. It's only that cheap for a reason, and the reason is that corners have been cut to make it that cheap. They'll sell thousands - but so did Lada  %)

There is an easy mod to open a fifth switched channel
on the Radio link Tx.
Rumour has it there is a sixth in there somewhere.
Mine is four years old and the grandsons use it most weeks.
Never had any problems but the soldering leaves a lot to be
desired.

...thanks for your comments, a club member has one also and has never had an issue. Roll the dice. From what I read somewhere else, apparently there were a lot of bugs when they first came on the market and have since ironed them out. What the hey :-).
