I have a FG Baja 4WD.
Just done a total strip and rebuild.
Its pretty much standard apart from shock upgrades and the wide wheels not only at the back but at the front too.
Love it, real good model and real good fun.

i know there are a fair few baja models about, lots of chinese copies/ clones, ?- i did however opt for the HPI version.....

FG have been around a while i know that much, my son wants a FG monster truck now too !!!... but would love ot see pictures of your machine.. i guess its about 28 cc or bigger ?

Don't worry it's been dirty when run off road on the local woodland trails, great fun!
It's just had a full strip, clean and rebuild so that's why it's so clean now but always like to keep it clean and tidy anyways.
Also I might be selling it soon so wanted to make sure all was ok.

thanks :-) originally mcd was a sport version monster truck, but now upgraded to cheetah and comp version apart from shocks, plus alloy diff housings, front rear and centre (optional from rc force) boat is worse for wear nowadays, kept it in loft for umpteen years, started 1st time last year, just replaced fuel tank and radio/receiver, all 3 servos ok, not had a chance to run it yet though :((

I used to have a fg monster truck many years ago, didn't really get to far into it, bought a mcd v4 monster truck with brushless conversion, bought loads of upgrades for it just waiting on a new motor and esc to arrive so should be alot quicker once it's done.

Just noticed you already have a petrol,my mate did a brushless conversion on his hormann,i know it cost him quite a few hundred pounds, what with the cost of the motor,esc,batteries,10 minutes was about the maximum run time

I have the motor esc and batteries already, I bought them for the black "cheetah" I posted on this thread a while ago, I just need to buy the conversion, I can get 2x 8s 5000mah batteries in the battery box, run time was roughly 30mins though not flat out all the time, I now have bought a 10s 10,000mah and a 12s 8000 mah battery, these are the biggest batteries I can physically get in the box, not sure what damage will be done on them batteries though
