« on: July 13, 2007, 04:50:18 pm »

Hi everyone,
I have spoken to Mike Friend from Wirral club yesterday.  July 22nd: 2 man & 3 man competition at Ashton Park, West Kirby, Wirral.

If you are interested, bring a Tug or two and some butties and a flask.  Please include an umbrella just in case.
Toilet facilities in the park.
Any more info' leave a post and we will get back to you.

See you there hopefully in the sunshine  ;D 8)
Ste J. Cheers.

Steve....does your JJC sound unit throw a wobbly if you move the throttle when its going into that wind down phase?
I have the unit fitted, but it goes nuts and sounds/looks very unprofessional when you have to bring her in and disconnect the leads to re-set!!!
I spoke to the guy who makes them last year about it and he says he can disable it, fine...but Im thinking that it may now require the removal of the unit and sending to him, but with the horror stories about trying to get hold of him I dont want to send the unit off into oblivion.  :'(

yes bill they all do however i have overcome this prob by firstly starting the unit as normal then just push your trim up or down just enough to make sound lift in pitch very slightly that works well as the unit thinks its got throttle all the time and i can sale like this for ages try it next time out works on two of my boats

Wether the weather be wet or wether the weather be fine be there for ten thirty as we want to start on time.
The course has been planned and the preps all made though we have yet to put up the tents to give you some shade.
Bad news for the Blackburn lads, I here that Mark has gone metric so what was an inch is now a centimetre.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the 22nd :D
