What struck me more than anything else was the lack of people under 60 -  portents for the future no doubt.

I was there on Saturday with my 13year old grandson and a lot of people told him they were very pleased to see someone of his age there.

He was treated very kindly as we circled the show, while he decided what model to buy.

Our club has attracted quite a few young members by allowing passers by to try out sailing our tug " Just Ask" ( Just Ask to have a go ). More importantly, Junior membership including full insurance cover is free and none sailing parents who accompany them get free Associate membership too. Quite a few parents then become fully paid up members once they start sailing with their children.   In reality the scheme costs us nothing and is great public relations and has gained us 12 new members this year.

HI All.
I have just uploaded all the pictures of the Models on display at the Convention , follow the link below, They are grouped with the first picture of each group being the Club. There is an option for slide show or individual pictures..
I am in the process of editing a small video of the Hovercraft displayed by the Crewe and District club, as well as the Mixed Pollux Football match with Ribble and Crew.

Well The Longbuild and Gingyer there seems to be a bit of rivelry here.
How about a challange match at the 2015 Convention on the Blind Sailing Course.
You have a whole year to practice.
