Just out a matter of interest... I know you Lifeboaters are normally into the Big scale stuff... but
is any one interested in a 1:24 scale Oakley..??
also a little question... does any one have any detailed Photos or so called close ups..
they would help me in making the fittings..

THANKS for the offer Colin, but speaking for myself I only work in 1:12 when in comes to lifeboats.. but there are plenty who don't.......perhaps some pictures would be nice...
sorry I have no pictures......never been an Oakley around my area to photograph.......sorry.

she is in the making...
Hull lines have been scanned into the CAD system and the templates are ready to be transferred onto Wood...
Keel should be laid in the next couple of weeks, so the pug should be ready for next year...
was just wondering if there would be any interest...!!

Hi Colin
I have some photos, which I took, of the two Oakley lifeboats preserved at Chatham: JG Graves of Sheffield, 37-01 and Will and Fanny Kirby, 37-05. Please PM me if you would like copies.
Regards

Coln does not specify 37 or 48 ft Version.
