Thoroughly recommended. Expensive but well worth the money. I've used it on a couple of Rivas with exceptional results.

That's the same boat that I intend  to use it on !  Yes a bit expensive and made more
so by postage cost.
Doesn't seem to be available from local stockists  - well, I can't find one.
Thanks Brian....

Hi,

See http://www.letonkinoisvarnish.uk/Ordering.html for supplier.

If you contact him, he can arrange for collection at any of the many shows he attends in the year.

We've recently discussed this on Mayhem regarding preparing for the subsequent coats. The original recipe for the varnish had to be changed because of European rules and now has an oily finish which has to be removed between coats otherwise it "globules". The supplier recommends wiping with a sugar soap solution (then rinsing) to remove the oil, which, in my experience, works well without having to rub down to a dull finish.

Store the tin upside down (lid secured!) to prevent oxidation.

I've used it on my Edwardian Steam Launch ( http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,37563.25.html ) to great effect.

Just ordered a tin and discussed application with the man on t'other end.
He did recommend a light rub down between coats and I will note your tip
on washing the surface too.
Thanks for that information.
