Quite a feat of engineering to launch something this big! 600.000 gross tons that's a helluva big boat.

A bit of a frost really - a floating gas processing tank, but not a real ship that goes places.

a mate of mine from old school days is a senior engineer with shell and is working out that way at the moment.......he emailed me a couple of weeks ago to say he was going to look over a new "ship" as he called it .......will have to ask him if this is the one, and see if he has any photos once on board.........interesting

A few of my old colleagues jumped ship [iron ore & coal] to work as Chief Engineers on LNG carriers from the NW of OZ to Asia........
Naturally a requirement apart from their qualifications was that they are non smokers
.....
Apart from that the vessels did not need conventional bunkers
...they just used the boil off from the cargo as the source of fuel..........Derek
