OCTOBER MODEL HOLIDAY WEEK AT THORNWICK
« on: May 11, 2015, 05:21:45 pm »

First the good news; the October model week, 3rd to 9th is definitely ON.  Now the bad news, it will be the LAST modellers week at Thornwick.
The site has been bought by Bourne Leisure and they have confirmed that they will NOT accommodate us in 2016.
SO  if you have enjoyed model weeks in the past or fancy one, now is the time to book for the FINAL Thornwick week.
Final thought; if you think you know of a site or hotel which might be able to accommodate us, please let me know.

Thank you, interesting in that the whole modellers week programme started with Pontins in Burnham on Sea in the 1970's.

My son works for Pontins and they are quiet before half term, might get a good discount if enough were interested

Mark, could your son give me a lead of a name and phone no?  Then I could make enquiries about the facilities we would need.
Cheers  Jim  :-)

Just a final reminder that the last Thornwick model week starts this Saturday the 3rd.  If you live locally, why not come along on Sunday afternoon between 3 and 4 for the final Bring and Buy.  If you have a boat to sell, bring it, all entry is free!
As this will also be the last model week I will organise; if you cannot come, this is my last chance to say thank you to all the modellers who have joined in during the past 25 years.
So it's good night from me and good night from me.

Where can Mayhemers find details for this year or is it full?
