Yet another unknown boat
« on: January 26, 2015, 08:47:10 pm »

Acquired this recently with a view to restoring it. Somewhere in the dark recesses of my memory I seem to recall seeing a very similar kit to this in the 70's, but can not find it anywhere on the net. The engine looks identical to an Enya 09 but  has no name on it, I believe a company did make copies of that engine for a while, but again, I can not find any information on the web. The engine isn't that important, as I have a mint Enya 09 that I will use, I mainly bought the boat as I have tried unsuccessfully for many years to obtain a manifold for my engine & this has one, but any ideas on the boat would be very helpful.

Thanks  Glenn

Sure does look like the Lesro Arrow to me.

See the following posts

I managed to get a plan from Lesro to enable me to finish it. I'm sure they will be able to help you if you ask.

Website here:-  http://lesromodels.co.uk/product-category/boat-kits/page/2/

I put a brushless motor in mine. Goes like stink...

I can vouch for that.  Bob now wear cycle clips on his trousers when it goes in the water!

Brilliant!! Thank you all so much for your help. i will try to get a copy of the plans from Lesro.

It will definitely start off with the Enya 09 in it, I know it wont be very fast, but it's in keeping with the era of the boat & a chance to use the engine I have had lying around for almost 20 years.
