1977 DODGE MONACO
« on: July 15, 2015, 10:54:58 pm »

This is a very old AMT 1/24 Dodge Monaco. I did this as the unusual 4 door civvy version as opposed to the normal police version.

A total chuffing pig of a kit. I wanted it well worn, as if you found one today, but still running. I knocked back the paintwork to give a more rough and worn look, she is rusted in places and grimy. I added real cloth carpets-not that you can see em  :D  and a cloth headlining that is distressed and hanging loose. I built it and it fell apart-I hated every minute of it.

Just glad it is all done. :-))

Hi Tom, the trim, handles etc are painted in a chrome paint. The bumpers, wheel trims, lights and grille came already chromed.

With new builds taking a back seat at the moment I thought I would have a play about with the Dodge. I tried to do a worn lacquer look and some awful bodged repair work paintwork.

So, she is for sale...any takers? %%
