A new Radio
« on: March 02, 2015, 12:10:17 pm »

Hi,
My lovely wife has bought me a new radio.
A Hobby King 2.4Ghz six channel and receiver.
If I was building a new plane I would know what to put in side it, but as it is a boat I need advice.
What motor?
What speed controller?
What servos?
What battery / batteries?
I am at a bit of a loss, as I have only every used the old system.
Any advice, wiring diagrams etc would be appreciated.

Others may give specific examples of problems but I've never had an issue with it using standard servos and ESCs. As for motor it will, as always, depend on what type and size of boat you want to build. Circuit diagrams don't change from those with 27 or 40.

Action electronics are very good,if you go on to the component shop, they should stock and be able to advise on your motor/ battery requirments as well
